What fruit varieties are suitable for Northern Ireland?

I'm interested in growing some eating apples and other fruits, i've a Bramley tree (good fruiting) and a pear (poor fruiting size and ripening) living in Northern Ireland near Lough Neagh. Are there some eating apple/pear/nut trees that i sh/could grow sucessfully in a large garden with a southerly aspect?
